You are Not American Because…

As much as I don’t like bullies, racists, the financially glutinous, and more, I want to bring to your attention that not only are you not mentally a part of the land reaching from southern Chile to Northern Greenland, but you’re not part of the elite. The elite are those who live in the United States of America, declaring the country only, and not all the landmass as America. Now, I get it. It sounds like I’m nitpicking or taking things out of context. I’m not. I’m asking you, the reader, to take the time to wash away any shame defense that we call pride, and listen to me for a few moments with open ears, and an open mind, and when I’m done, compare it to what you have, do, and will hear on TV or on the internet.

It doesn’t matter where you go, who you listen to, and typically, what you read — someone will say what is, and is not American. Listen to The Young Turks as you’ll hear, “Come on. If you believe that, then you’re not American.” If you listen to Right-Wing contributors, talk shows and such, not only will you hear about what is and is not American, but how the poor, the brown, the lazy, the inner city people, and more wants a free handout, all the while they run advertisements by people that give them money to run a 5 second to 3 minute clip on their show.
