Would You Sin by Lying In Order to Protect Your Faith?

Would You Sin by Lying In Order to Protect Your Faith?

If it ever happened, it would happen like this.

I want to inform the reader that I am an Atheist. With that stuck in your head, I would like to put your faith to the test by using true arguments, statements, faith-based facts, and citations of loyalty to one’s faith. Today, before going to sleep at around 2:00AM I tend to fantasize about bliss beyond bliss, and some comical moment that could transpire within. These thoughts are often interrupted by involuntary subconscious ideas. They are quite annoying as I enjoy my bliss. This thought, what happens to be the subject, interrupted my bliss and it was striking enough for me to make a post. With that said, let’s jump right into it.

I watch a few atheist shows and I listen to the arguments by Theist. So far, each one cites as fact, that (1) God is male, (2) God is energy, (3) Serving God is key to life, (4) God speaks to everyone, and (5) God answers prayers.

There is nuance to this as Theists have claimed that God only speaks to those who truly believe, and will show himself to anyone worthy. Theists also claim God is everywhere, and they have a personal relationship with him. I would like to put all of that into one hypothetical scenario that will test each and every Theist’s faith, belief, and levels of trust. LET ME BE CLEAR: This is not to impress me, or some crazy Atheist apologist group, or insult any Theist on any personal level. I would have to (1) know you by sight, or more, (2) have something against you, and (3) target you specifically, for it to be personal. Before jumping into the scenario, I must ask you to ask YOURSELF, are all three of those congruent with you and God? Please do not answer that in the comment section. Just think of it only for yourself. Introducing the scenario; with a bit of human psychology. For your information: This thought took less than 5 seconds to enter my conscious.

The first part of the psychology is the knowledge that what you are reading came from an Atheist, and thus, anything written that goes against your, is something you will disagree with. Remember: Are you willing to lie for your faith? Lying is a sin.

CR 1:1 You and some friends, family, or a mixture thereof exits a restaurant. The time of day is up to you. You stand and converse about the meal, or further a previous conversation had before departing the table. Suddenly, the air is charged, your hair lifts, and 20 feet before you forms a white undulating oblong creature of crackling electricity. The energy around you flows into it, reverting all in the area to normal. The energy does not move, and it shows no sign of sentience.

Usually, someone would be stuck. It’s not fear, or bravery, but an internal pause, not knowing what to do, until what is before them, does something. Others would experience the fight or flight response. Some would run in fear, fright, or terror, while others would find something to defend themselves. Some would find things to throw at it to see what would happen. You being the reader know what this is, or should be. This is part of the sin. Place yourself in this very moment, not knowing anything, and imagine this energy forming before you out of nowhere. It says and does nothing. I ask, “Would you really know it is God?” I am wagering that the majority of people would not. Moving on.

CR 1:2 A few of your friends holler and run away, while a few others run back into the restaurant, while the one or two remaining take out their phones and try to record and take pictures. You look at the energy for a moment and just then, it quickly takes shape. It grows to eight feet in height, morphs into the shape of a featureless humanoid and takes one booming step in your direction.

The majority of people would be frightened into hysterics as they flee, run in circles, cower on their knees, or even pass out. What would you do? This is, God. Would you be afraid? Remember, you are not privy to this article giving you the information.

CR 1:3 You stand looking up at the giant formed energy, what now takes on male features; hands, toes, four appendages, eyes, ears, hair, mouth, and more. Clothing in the form of the energy covers the blank canvas what now bulks with muscles. The facial hair grows long, while the hair on its head remains short, and curly. It stands in unyielding stature as the head turns from left to right and back again. Then, it looks down at you.

Most people would have unwittingly voided themselves and remain ignorant to the sensations thereafter. You do not have any issues. Why? I need you for this story.

CR 1:4 The being walks to you; each step sounding like claps of thunder, despite the air or ground not shaking or being damaged. It stops only one step from you, and kneels with a forearm draped over a knee. He stares at your face and raises his free hand to point at your face before speaking in a boisterous voice that echoes the world over, yet, only you and those who saw its’ arrival can hear it. He says, “I don’t know you, so stop invoking my name, and saying we are personal friends. Here’s my number. Call me. We can get to know each other then. It’s 1–463–927–4373. That’s 1 for the universal code, God Was Here”. After those words, the energy fades away with any effects, and all who heard his voice can hear their phones chiming with a new contact.

Now, this scenario is complete. What would you have done upon him walking up to you? Would you have run away in fear or worse? Would you find something to attack him with? Would you have stood in silence, or stood yelling for help? Some people may need this scenario in one piece so it’s not all broken up. I’ll do that for you.

You and some friends, family, or a mixture thereof exits a restaurant. The time of day is up to you. Let’s be totally honest here. If you were standing somewhere alone or with people, and the air grew odd, your hair stood up and a large moving mass of energy formed 20 feet away, you’d most likely run away or back up worried trying to record it. Only a few people would think, “It is God himself.” When I say a few, I mean a few in respect to the world of the human animal. So, roughly 1-million people at the most. I tiny portion of this scenario happened to me in reality and it was physical. I simply looked on, said nothing, and when it ended, I got up, and had to make choices to go outside or not. Right now, you have the safety of this being an article, and the belief that I’m just a crazy Atheist who knows nothing. In this scenario, I placed what God is made of, his sex and gender, expression of power, and the limits of human knowledge of assumption, as well as factual reactions pertaining to the unknown conjuring itself. Not once did my creation say he was God. Going on this scenario, the criteria used by Theists, and what it would take for things to be personal, you would do best to ask yourself, “What do I really know about anything I believe?”

P.S.

I created a world, created you, your friends and what they are doing. I created God, and spoke for him, even citing for him what he thinks. I controlled everything. Does that make me God? I hope not. I’d be mad that I didn’t stop the atrocities of the world, and used my power to write an article for Medium.
