What Can Minecraft Teach Us About Society and How We Treat Each Other?

For those who do not know about Minecraft, or who have heard of it for years and never played it, you are not alone. I’ve seen tons of videos of people playing Minecraft, and yet, they have never played the game of Minecraft. Not from what I could see, anyway. They use mods (Modifications) and other things to make the game interesting for them and their followers. They will use a plethora of mods, add-ons, and more to entice and retain their audience. A lot of what you just read reflects our very ongoing existence.

In the real world, we relinquish the burden of knowledge and honest responsibility only to replace it with belief. I’m not talking about religion for the most part. Instead, I’m mainly speaking of everyday life. The hourly grind until you reward yourself with something such as a treat, watching the big game, talking trash about someone, etc. All of this reflects the mods people use in Minecraft. While the beliefs, rewards, and such are tangible, they are nothing more than mods to make us feel better for the moment, and/or to entice us or our “audience” for just a bit longer. These life-mods are not for nothing. They serve a deep purpose. They distract us from our true responsibilities.

What are our true responsibilities? Anyone could and most would say paying bills, raising kids, keeping…
