“Political Tyranny and Why It Happened”
I was listening to an article by, Sidra Owens, hostess of The Wicked Orchard, titled, “Donald Trump is a Real-Life Freddy Krueger.” In that article, she stated, “Since I have heard no credible reason why Trump was allowed to do the bullshit he did.”
I will, in this case, use the Merriam-Webster dictionary which states: “offering reasonable grounds for being believed.” To aid in this, I must also cite the definition of “Reasonable” which means: a statement offered in explanation or justification. A rational ground or motive. The thing that makes some fact intelligible: cause.
With all of that said, one needs to understand history to know why things are the way they are in the present, and with no change in sight, why the future can be clear. Clear does not denote negative or positive, because that is subjective depending upon who gains and who loses. History, while simple, comes with heavy baggage. When the Democrats were in power during and post overt slavery, black people gained the right to vote, and white racists did what they could to remove that ability. Back then, black people wanted to vote Republican, a new party that was cited to never be worthwhile, and when they gained a modicum of traction, they were called the “upset party” with claims that a vote for Republicans was throwing your vote away. Does that sound familiar? I hope so.
