Don’t Trust Burn Watchers
There’s the old saying of “Don’t Trust Anyone/body” DTA for short. I’ve always found that as being paranoid. Don’t get me wrong. I do understand it, and while it makes sense, it’s also an indictment on society as a whole. How about we do something less blanketed and worry about those who are directly around us. This can be at work, home, or any place we frequent. I would say, the people you can trust to be untrustworthy are Burn Watchers.
Burn Watchers are the people you are around and they know you’re making a mistake or some kind, and instead of correcting you, or anything to stop the mistake, they simply watch. They may have an expression to inform you something is amiss, but they will not help you. They will watch you burn and go down in flames. These people are simply level-1 jerks. They can be your roommate, husband, significant other, partner, mate, friend, co-worker, or buddy for the moment for any endeavor and they will watch you mess up in real time and retain the silence I spoke of.
Those who reach level 2 of a Burn Watcher are those anyone would cite as a massive jerk to never trust. These are the people that will watch you burn, and when the ashes are settled and you pull yourself up and ask what happened, this jerk will say something in the realm of, “I could have told you what was going to happen.” So that means they had a good idea of the outcome and…
