Democracy Vs Personal Cults
I’ve been listening to various pro-DNC and self-proclaimed Progressive podcasts for a very long time. At the same time, I’ve heard what they say about people on the right, and I have personally talked to people on the right. Did you know that both sides desire, and demand honest, fair, and justifiable elections? Did you know that both sides attack anyone that doesn’t vote, vote out of party, or even worse, vote third-party?
Maybe you, the reader can help me understand how anyone can vote for 1 of 2 ways, and rail against anyone that does anything different, and claim they live in a democracy. I’m not against anyone voting their tribe. That’s what people do. You pick a side, and stick with it, until you feel it has failed you and then you go to the other side. When argued against the side you are on, your only emotional argument is the say, “What you think I’ll vote for those people?” When faced with voting outside, there is only the argument of “They won’t win anyway.”
Can someone explain to me how doing this promotes the ability of the very options that would express an actual democracy? I voted for Kamala Harris this year. Why? While she was the most messed up person to vote for, she was a vote against hatred. Harris is indifferent, while republicans are hateful. Harris lost. I didn’t do my civic duty. I turned my back on it to be a shield against the very people who…
